Getting Started

Installing the Add-in from Microsoft AppSource

  1. 1Open Microsoft Excel (desktop or web)
  2. 2Go to Insert → Add-ins → Get Add-ins
  3. 3Search for "ModelIQ by BWit Advisors" in the AppSource store
  4. 4Click Add and accept the permissions prompt
  5. 5The ModelIQ by BWit Advisors taskpane will appear on the right side of Excel

Logging In

  1. 1Enter your registered email address and password in the taskpane login screen
  2. 2If your organization uses SSO, use the "Sign in with SSO" option
  3. 3First-time users must register via an invitation link sent by your Super Admin
  4. 4Contact your organization's Super Admin if you have not received an invitation

System Requirements

  1. 1Microsoft Excel 2016 or later (Windows or Mac)
  2. 2Microsoft 365 (Excel for the web is supported)
  3. 3Active internet connection is required at all times
  4. 4Supported browsers for Excel Web: Chrome, Edge, Firefox (latest versions)

Troubleshooting

Add-in Not Loading or Taskpane Blank

  1. 1Ensure you have a stable internet connection
  2. 2Clear your browser cache if using Excel for the Web
  3. 3In Excel desktop, go to Insert → Add-ins → My Add-ins and re-enable ModelIQ by BWit Advisors
  4. 4Restart Excel and try reopening the Add-in
  5. 5Ensure your Microsoft 365 account has Add-in permissions enabled by your IT admin

Login or Authentication Errors

  1. 1Double-check your email and password — passwords are case-sensitive
  2. 2Use the "Forgot Password" link on the login screen to reset your credentials
  3. 3If your account is new, ensure you have verified your email address
  4. 4If your account has been deactivated, contact your organization's Super Admin
  5. 5For persistent login issues, clear Excel's Add-in storage and try again

Financial Data Not Displaying

  1. 1Verify that your user role has access to the selected company — contact your Admin
  2. 2Ensure the correct company and financial period are selected in the taskpane
  3. 3Data may take a few seconds to load — wait for the loading indicator to complete
  4. 4If data appears outdated, use the Refresh button in the taskpane
  5. 5If no data is available, your Super Admin may not have uploaded data for the selected period

Excel Add-in Permissions Blocked by IT Policy

  1. 1Some organizations restrict Add-in installations via Microsoft 365 admin policies
  2. 2Ask your IT administrator to allow Add-ins from Microsoft AppSource for your account
  3. 3Alternatively, your IT admin can centrally deploy ModelIQ by BWit Advisors via the Microsoft 365 Admin Center
